Joan Flesher

Joan Flesher has been affiliated with Village Community Services for more than two decades with her son, Jeremy, on the receiving end of VCS’s Residential programming throughout that time. Joan joined the VCS Board in July 2019 and now serves as Secretary. Lending her 30 years of professional experience in social services, she actively provides guidance for VCS residential issues, provides financial support, and assists with fundraising efforts.

Joan is dedicated to the growth and sustainability of VCS and its mission to serve those with diverse abilities.

“I would like to see VCS become even more financially successful,” she adds. “I’d also like to see more support given to residential homes in the community.”

An active community member and volunteer, Joan has served on the Arlington Lions Club for 15 years, the Arc of Snohomish County Board for more than 20 years, and the Warm Beach Community Association Board for 5 years.

Joan is retired from the Early Intervention Program as a Family Resource Coordinator. She received her bachelor’s degree in human services.

Joan is happily married to her husband, John, and is a doting mother to three grown children: Jeremy, Philip, and Barry. In her free-time, you can often find her enjoying outdoor activities, sports, crafts, and reading.
