Larissa Knopp, PhD

Resource Development Coordinator

With a doctorate degree in Modern World History and an innate ability to orchestrate large-scale projects and activities with an unparalleled level of ease and efficiency, Larissa Knopp officially joined Village Community Services in the capacity of Resource Development Coordinator in August 2020. Prior to that, she was affiliated with VCS through the AmeriCorps VISTA program for 12 months.

In the capacity of Resource Development Coordinator, Larissa works collaboratively with VCS’s Executive Director of Program and Development, leading all major event and fundraiser efforts, including VCS’s annual Village Gala, Friendship Walk & 5K Run, Smokey Point Community Block Party, and Arbor Day festivities. In addition, she manages the VCS donor database and maintains oversight of the organization’s online and social media presence.

Larissa maintains a bachelor’s degree in History from Southwestern Adventist University and as mentioned, earned her doctorate degree in Modern World History from St. John’s University in 2020. She was an adjunct professor at St. John’s University from 2016-2019.

Larissa is an avid traveler and enjoys playing tourist in small towns around the Pacific Northwest region. In her free-time, she also loves to read and take long walks. Larissa resides in Everett with her beloved cat, Bruce.
