Director of Quality Improvement
After more than 20 years of professional experience working within the healthcare industry, Michelle brought her expertise to Village Community Services alongside her desire to continue elevating the lives of those she serves. Since April 2022, she has put her expertise to work as VCS’s Director of Quality Improvement where her primary responsibilities are to align the organization’s programs with State law, Developmental Disabilities Administration policies, and VCS policies. In this capacity, she works to continually evaluate VCS’s systems and provides direct support of the Residential clients while also leading, training, and supervising the program’s management staff.
Prior to her arrival at VCS, Michelle worked for more than two decades within the senior living sector of healthcare, specializing in long-term care with a special interest in dementia and end-of-life care. She gained valuable experience as the Executive Director of an adult family home and as an Assistant ED of an assisted living facility in Washington State. Michelle maintains an Executive Directors Wisconsin license, is a Healthcare Aid, and Certified Nursing Assistant. She is also a veteran of the United States Armed Forces with more than a decade of service to our country.
In her free-time, Michelle enjoys hiking, reading, and writing, as well as gardening and assisting with animal rescue (dogs, specifically) whenever possible. She is a strong LGBTQ advocate. She lives happily with her husband of 10 years and their two teenage children, Sasha and Trinity.
