Many of you have supported our efforts to purchase an accessible van – and we did it! Beginning last fall, VCS recognized the need to add a van so that we can transport our folks to doctor appointments, the grocery store, haircuts, music practice, performances – you name it. You may be surprised to learn that we have 19 vehicles and not a one of them sits in the driveway! Our folks are constantly out and about. Having safe, reliable, and accessible transportation is critical. So I want to thank you all for the support you have given VCS.
And I have to confess… we didn’t quite meet our goal to purchase the van outright. The need became critical, so we used all of the funds raised as a down payment and VCS has taken on a loan to pay the difference. We are so grateful to have the van and couldn’t wait any longer.
