Oh, Nadine! What Would We Do Without You?
Every once in a while, someone comes along who makes you wonder how you ever managed without them. For us at Village, that person is Nadine Cox!
At our recent annual fundraiser, we had the pleasure of recognizing Nadine as our 2026 Volunteer of the Year, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving.
I am constantly amazed by Nadine’s creativity, generosity, and willingness to jump in and help with just about anything. She’s an active member of our fundraising committee, plays a huge role in our annual Holiday Wreath Making fundraiser, and always seems to have another wonderful idea up her sleeve!
Most recently, she even offered to open her home and host a Crab Dinner for Six as a silent auction donation. Who does that? Nadine does!
But as much as I appreciate everything Nadine does for Village, it’s who she is that makes her so special. She’s kind, loving, thoughtful, and incredibly giving. She brings so much heart to everything she touches, and I feel fortunate to call her both a friend and a member of our Village team.
Nadine, I hope you know just how much you mean to all of us. Your time, your talents, your friendship, and that wonderful creative mind of yours are truly priceless.
Thank you for all you do and for being exactly who you are. Village is a better place because you’re a part of it!
