Jessie Tear

VELC / Village Music & Arts Coordinator

Bringing more than 15 years of professional experience to her new position, Jessie Tear officially joined the management team at Village Community Services as its Village Experience Learning Center and Village Music & Arts Program Coordinator in November 2022.

In her new role, Jessie oversees all of VELC’s program operations, supervision of volunteers and contractors, and outreach all while elevating VELC learning activities which are meant to help teach and grow life skills for its participants. As the new program director for Village Music & Arts, she also now manages the Voices of the Village member ensemble band, including oversight of the band’s performance schedule, concerts, fundraising, public relations, and practices.

Prior to joining VCS, Jessie gained valuable experience and expertise in event production, public relations, marketing, booking, promotions, and volunteer management. She holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Spiritual Studies from Antioch University in Seattle.

In her free time, you can often find Jessie enjoying visual arts, primarily creating collage, drawing, painting, dancing, and singing; adventuring and traveling with friends; designing and organizing; and enjoying quality time with her family which includes her parents, sister and brother-in-law, and her four nieces and nephews.
