Menaahil Ahmed
Director of Residential Services
Menaahil “Minnie” Ahmed joined Village Community Services (VCS) as the Director of Residential Services in March 2024. In this key leadership role, Menaahil is responsible for overseeing all operations of VCS’s residential programs. Her duties include ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements, mentoring residential staff in best practices, and facilitating conflict resolution and positive behavior support for clients. Menaahil also works closely with the executive director to facilitate client placements and ensures ongoing, high-quality service delivery.
Menaahil brings over 12 years of experience to her position, having previously served as a Service Coordinator at Inland and San Diego Regional Centers and as a Program Service Coordinator at CA Mentor Family Home Agency. Her diverse background includes roles as a Special Education Paraeducator, Interim Teacher, and California School Employee Association (CSEA) site representative within the Moreno Valley Unified School District. Additionally, she has worked as a Classroom Support Specialist with Americorp-First 5 San Bernardino and as a Program Leader with Think Together.
Menaahil holds a Master of Special Education from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino, and an Associate degree in Social and Behavioral Studies from Moreno Valley College. She is also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Recently relocated from Southern California to Washington, Menaahil is passionate about the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and is an active supporter of POC and LGBTQIA+ communities and events. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, watching San Francisco 49’ers games, and spending quality time with her family, whom she considers her greatest support system.
